Art Battle - May 5

I will be participating in live competitive painting on May 5 at Arts Court in Ottawa, starts at 7pm!

Several rounds where I'll have 20 minutes to create my best work, among 12 other artists, and it is voted on by the audience and auctioned off afterwards. Tickets are $15, for students $10. Hope you can come!

Sketch 2012: Fundraiser for Saw Gallery

I've donated the following three pieces to help out Saw Gallery raise money for their art space. There will be over 175 artists from across Canada, and there will be hundreds of works for sale, starting at ONLY $10!!! A great time to pick up some affordable art for holiday gifts, and it's going to a good cause. I've heard from my art friends that it will be shoulder to shoulder, completely packed, and people will be lining up early to get first dibs on some amazing work.  Get there early if you can! There will be a cash bar too. :)

Daily Grind Art Show: Month of October + beyond

This is the best birthday present ever!

I'm celebrating my 27th birthday at the start of October and my great friend Meeha had a brilliant idea. She arranged an art exhibition on my behalf at the Daily Grind Art Cafe at 601 Somerset Street (at Percy)! There are 19 of my paintings on the second floor of the cafe. We just went tonight to check it out, they look fantastic.  They will be on display for the month of October,  and continue until they need the space or the work sells.

Before starting The Daily Grind, we made our living as artists.

We love art - creation - originality - things never before seen or heard.​

We like to see that happen, and we want to foster it in as many ways as we can.

We also like to learn from others who have knowledge to share.​​

That's why we have the 2nd floor.

Upstairs at The Daily Grind we have:

3. A private meeting room / creative space for groups

Art on the Farm, August 25, 2012

I'll be painting new creations and selling my artwork tomorrow all day at the Art on the Farm, 10-4pm, at the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa. Stop by if you get a chance and say hello!! Weather's going to be fantastic! Free admission and parking.

Brand spanking new paintings will be on display and being made! If you like what you see, maybe you'll take home a freshly painted piece.  :)

Inspiration! Preview of Available Works for Sale

This weekend has been brilliant for art. I spent all day Saturday and most of Monday painting. Today was especially inspiring. I finished a commission, and painted 3 new works. Below is an early preview of the paintings for sale at the art shows on Aug 11 and 25.  Individual photos of paintings to come in the next few days.

In addition, I did some of my own art purchasing at the Urban Art Show at Minto Park on Saturday. I am now a proud owner of Jay Sibyl's two amazing pieces titled "La Fee Verte" and "Down the Rabbit Hole". They have made a fantastic addition to my collection. You can actually see her painting on my wall in the below picture.
